Description
Monitis is seeking a Big Data Engineer for Monitis and TeamViewer projects.

Responsibilities
-Design, develop, deploy and contribute to development of data analytics and self-learning applications scaling to terabytes of data
-Install, configure, and upgrade distributions of Apache Hadoop, Apache Flume and other software
-Build fast and scalable data pipelines between our big data platforms and our data warehouse(Redshift)
-Work on real Big Data-scale problems with the data team as well as product and development teams

RequiredQualifications
-A higher education degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems or a highly related subject
-Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in Big Data
-Excellent skills in Java, Scala and Python
-Excellent skills in Apache Flume and Kafka
-Extensive experience in AWS cloud solutions
-Hands-on experience working on HDFS, Java MapReduce, Apache Crunch, Hive and Spark
-Experience in maintaining clustered Data Warehouses such as HAWQ or Greenplum is a plus
-Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to present information clearly
-Fluent in English language
-Knowledge of German language is plus
