Reporting to the Project Manager, the Coordinator for Arts and Crafts Centre works on developing a contemporary market, which will enhance and promote the cultural heritage of the region. The work includes involving the interested people from Dilijan into income generation activities and enabling them to make various hand-made products by using their existing and obtained new skills.
This position will be based at IDeA office with the possibility of onsite trips. The successful applicant is expected to work 20 hours weekly. This is a short-term position from 25 July 2017 till 25 January 2019.

Responsibilities
Production Establishment:
- Establish product range to meet the needs of contemporary market requirements (carpet making, wood crafts, bijouterie, postcards, etc.).

Equipment and Tools:
- Install machines and equipment to ensure the production of arts and crafts in the Centre and Workshops.

Market Development:
- Enhance targeted efforts to increase the shape of souvenirs in domestic as well as export markets through promotion, exhibitions, buyer/ seller meets, retail space, e-commerce, etc.

Human Resource and Skills Development:
- Provide trainings and consultancy linked to capacity building activity.

RequiredQualifications
- University degree;
- Experience in working in a related field;
- Knowledge of methods, tools, equipment and materials used in production of arts and crafts;
- Knowledge of the contemporary market requirements;
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills, facilitation, negotiation and interpersonal skills, including experience with public speaking;
- Ability to work independently;
- Well-developed planning, organization and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to be innovative in promoting collaboration across organizations.
