Job: Coordinator for Dilijan National Park Promotion and Trails Development at IDeA Foundation Company

Reporting to the Project Manager, the incumbent works with the trail development expert and trails construction company and oversees all aspects of trail development to help ensure that Dilijan National Park will be equipped with new and renovated trails before the project end. The work includes managing all aspects of trail development from planning through construction and opening events, as well as improving trail signage in DNP. This position will be based at IDeA office with the possibility of onsite trips. The successful applicant is expected to work 20 hours weekly. To fulfill the responsibilities of the position the incumbent will be in the field approximately 4 times per month. This is a short-term position through July 15 2017 till May 15 2018.
Specific objectives of the venture are: a) refurbish thematic trails at Dilijan National Park (including inter-community) in compliance with best standards; b) establish maintenance and operations guidelines for these trails; c) develop tour package offerings at Dilijan National Park.

Responsibilities
Dilijan National Park Promotion and Trails Development (80 percent):
- Manage all aspects of trail development for connection plan projects, including marketing and advertising campaign via social media; work collaboratively with stakeholders on all aspects of trail development from planning through trail construction and opening events.

Trail Signage (15 percent):
- Develop and implement a strategy to sign the existing and newly developed trails requiring assistance with signage and develop signage plans as required.

Communication (5 percent):
- Develop regular reports for internal and external use; responsible for ongoing and regular communication with project partners and stakeholders; contribute to external communications through social media staff.

RequiredQualifications
- Experience in a related field, such as planning, landscape architecture/ construction, forestry, park/ trails operations;
- Knowledge of methods, tools, equipment and materials used in trail construction and maintenance;
- Knowledge of and experience in trail development is an asset;
- University degree and experience in working in one or more areas of planning, recreation, environmental studies, tourism or rural development;
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills, facilitation, negotiation and interpersonal skills, including experience with public speaking;
- Ability to work independently;
- Well-developed planning, organizational and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to be innovative in promoting collaboration across organizations.
