Responsibilities
1. Gather Data: observe and convert to structured data from the pool of observations and set of numbers. You will need to work with data flows in an excellent manner
2. Clean Data: clean the data to remove bad values, correct misspelled names, make sure sets have consistent formats or fill in missing values. This can be done both manually (scrolling through spreadsheets to make corrections) and initiating programs to perform these tasks for larger data sets.
3. Analyze Data: Develop and implement databases, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
4. Report and Present Data: write portions of the report or to create charts, graphs and exhibits. Sometimes it may be needed to write sections describing how data was gathered, summarize survey methods or assist in other portions of the report. You are expected use Excel or other presentation graphics tools to create the charts and graphs included in the report or in PowerPoint presentations.
RequiredQualifications
Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, etc.)
An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Degree in computer science or relevant field is a plus
Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies is a plus
