Armenian Red Cross Society (ARCS) is looking for a motivated person to join the Organization Development Department. Building stronger branches is one of the capacity building priorities of ARCS development program. The Field Coordination and Branch Development Officer will provide the link between the headquarters in Yerevan and the branches. Under the overall guidance and support from Head of ARCS Organization Development Department, the Field Coordination and Branch Development Officer will stimulate the process of branch capacity building, within the overall framework of the ARCS development action.

Responsibilities
- Provide the link between the ARCS headquarters and the branches to promote the branch development process;
- Pay frequent visits to the branches to provide ongoing assistance in the branch development processes;
- Assist with the needs assessment processes in the regions;
- Support the branches to implement new, sustainable activities promoting branch initiative;
- In coordination with the Youth, Volunteering and Membership Promotion Department, organize, conduct volunteer capacity building trainings, workshops and events;
- Assist with the fundraising processes in the regions in cooperation with the ARCS Resource Mobilization Officer;
- Contribute to planning, monitor and assist with implementation of the branch annual and development plans;
- Support with the communication, coordination and cooperation with the Local Authorities and other stakeholders in the regions;
- Organize branch assessments/ self-assessments on a regular basis;
- Develop progress and annual reports on branch development activities;
- Contribute to the agenda and actively participate to the meetings of the ARCS Branch Development Working Group;
- Promote and support cooperation between the branches;
- Identify opportunities and risks in branch development, taking into consideration the Movement approach;
- Pay attention to the branch response capacity in emergencies and conflict and contribute to development of corresponding plans in cooperation with ARCS departments and Movement partners.

RequiredQualifications
- Higher education;
- At least 3 years of experience in capacity building, teaching and coaching;
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of humanitarian work and volunteering;
- Experience of working with communities in the regions of Armenia;
- Volunteering experience and/ or volunteer management experience is a strong plus;
- Significant experience and computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel and Outlook;
- Ability to read, write and speak in Armenian and Russian languages fluently; knowledge of English language is preferred;
- Availability of a driving licence;
- Self-motivated and proactive person driven to results;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Ability to multi-task, apply common sense, maintain composure and exercise sound judgment;
- Enthusiasm about contributing to and building a positive team environment;
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Ability to find solutions in stressful situations;
- Willingness to spend 70 percent of the time in the field.
