AZAD Pharmaceuticals LLC is looking for an experienced Organic Chemist for the Company's newly established organic process development laboratories located in Yerevan.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for conducting of chemical experiments, analysis of the results as well as precise documentation;
- Be willing to take responsibility for state-of-the-art equipment and other special tasks;
- Responsible for development of safe and environmentally friendly organic chemical processes for synthesis of generic active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in a team of 3-4 people.
RequiredQualifications
- Master's degree in Chemistry or equivalent (Organic Chemistry is strongly preferred);
- Fluency in English language (spoken and written);
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in organic chemistry;
- Strong knowledge of and experience in organic chemical preparative procedures such as heterocyclic chemistry, retrosynthesis, chiral synthesis, low temperature chemistry, working at inert atmosphere, etc.;
- Experience in analytical chemistry such as thin layer chromatography (TLC), HPLC, GC, melting point, KF, etc.;
- Ability and willingness to work in newly established team structure;
- Team spirit attitude;
- Strong and reliable documentation skills;
- Experience in MS office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and chemical specific software (ChemDraw and chemical database programs like SciFinder, Beilstein, etc.).
