Description
Multi Grand Hotel, a leading 5 star property in Armenia is searching for a Deputy General Manager to oversee the complex comprised of 82 rooms, 6 luxury villas, restaurants, conference facilities and spa. He/ she will join a team of 65 and support the General Manager to deliver exception service to all hotel guests and push profit by focusing on service quality. This role is ideally suited to someone who is self-motivated, is passionate about the hotel industry and who thrives in a challenging yet dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
- Depute in absence of the General Manager;
- Have a proven ability in a similar management role;
- Have a working knowledge of F&B and Front Office operations;
- Drive the Guest Satisfaction scores;
- Be able to demonstrate driving quality throughout the business.

Finance:
- Manage budgets and financial plans as well as control expenditure;
- Develop improvement actions; carry out cost control requirements.

People Management:
- Together with the GM, review the current workforce, assessment, recruitment and hiring of new staff, execution of performance reviews and training of staff;
- Coordinate planning of Department Heads with regard to time-tables, work schedules, employment of employees within the different services;
- Coordinate the execution of activities via instructions to the Heads of Departments/ Assistant Managers, supervise the execution.

Sales and Marketing:
- Lead sales and marketing initiatives to drive new and existing business streams;
- Analyse marketing initiatives to assess success criteria;
- Have strong knowledge of local market.

Other Responsibilities:
- Ensure legal compliance standards are met;
- Present opinions and beliefs, decisions, etc. to the executives.

RequiredQualifications
The ideal Deputy General Manager should have:
Education:
- Higher education, ideally related to Hospitality, on middle and higher management level.

Work Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience within the hotel industry in a management role.

Professional Skills:
- Excellent spoken Armenian and English languages skills;
- Experience with several hotel operation systems;
- Developed project planning skills and ability to prioritise projects/ tasks.

Personal Skills:
- Dynamic and customer-centric leader;
- Well developed management skills;
- Ability to work in a high pressured, fast paced environment;
- Diplomatic person, yet able to manage situations to achieve the ideal outcome;
- Hands on, however able and willing to coach and develop others;
- Highly organised and efficient individual;
- Results driven personality;
- Flexible person, adaptable to a changing environment;
- Ability to demonstrate strong negotiation, influencing and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
