Responsibilities
What you will do:
You will be part of a small specialized software engineering team (Documentation Engineering Group) developing and maintaining the infrastructure, internal tools, and flows for documentation in the technical writing group.
As a technology champion, you will collaborate with other teams and have a significant and immediate impact on all customer documentation produced. The role includes the following responsibilities:
 

• Developing new internal programs and maintaining existing internal tools, programs, flows, and scripts for automation of documentation (technical writing) flows
• Ensuring state-of-the-art code and scriptware is being written along with proper testing suites
• Influencing the documentation infrastructure roadmap
• Testing and documenting flows, code, and processes.
• Taking deep dives to resolve complex technical issues
• Provide flows and tool support for a team of 20+ Technical Writers
• Interfacing with global R&D ASIC design teams regarding Verilog RTL code analysis for extraction of documentation information – register maps, pin maps, clock crossings etc.

RequiredQualifications
Hard skills we're looking for:
 

• Degree or masters in electronic or software engineering
• 2-5 years' programming (industry or university experience) in engineering development using any language
• Excellent problem-solving skills; strong logical reasoning and solution oriented

•  Produce consistently high quality technical solutions and code implementations independently.
  
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Energetic and capable of learning new technologies as necessary
• Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• You take ownership of projects and tasks assigned to you with little to no supervision and have pride in quality work done correctly the first time

Advantageous skill areas that will give you the edge:
 

• XSLT and XPATH
• Structured FrameMaker EDD and DTD
• DITA, DocBook, or IP-XACT XML schemas
• FrameScript, ExtendScript, or FDK
