Writing copy for the web is a growing industry requiring fresh insights and an original approach to communicate a wide range of ideas.
Responsibilities
-Writing web content for websites/portals from scratch
-Editing and proofreading content once is written
-Writing, editing and proofreading copy for client projects based on the material supplied by them
-Writing product descriptions, brand support material etc.
-Proof-reading, editing and writing content on a regular basis for building up the website including informative short articles
-Check web pages for errors and inconsistencies before publishing them
RequiredQualifications
-Excellent written English
-A flair for writing with an understanding of what works on the internet
-An ability to work as part of a team, and with good communication skills
-A web-effective writing style that is fresh, consistent and customer friendly
-A knack for editing and proofreading with good research skills
-Ability to write in a range of registers and styles for various audiences
-Experience in publishing and PR would be an advantage
