Lydian Armenia is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced supervisors to perform the role of Adsorption Desorption Recovery (ADR) Shift Supervisor in the Process. Preference will be given to local area candidates, especially those with Russia/ CIS experience. The ADR Shift Supervisor's area of responsibility extends from the Heap Leach Pad to the main Adsorption/ Desorption building, reagent mixing and handling areas and ponds. Outside normal working hours, the ADR Shift Supervisor, together with the Crusher Shift Supervisor, are the senior Lydian employees on site in the Process Plant. The position reports to the ADR General Foreman (Operations). Successful candidate will receive comprehensive training about the design and operation of all sections of the ADR facility and will gain a working knowledge of other areas including Heap Leach and Crushing.
Responsibilities
Preoperational and Ramp-up:
- Support the ADR General Foreman in recruitment, training, setting up of tools and equipment and procedure preparation.
Operational:
- Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the Adsorption and Desorption circuits, and reagent mixing and handling;
- Supervise the activities of the ADR operators, the shift maintenance technicians and others as required;
- Operate Adsorption and Desorption circuits according to parameters set by supervisors and the metallurgy section;
- Manage direct reports (operators): discipline, training, leave and absences, etc.;
- Communicate effectively Crusher, Load-out and HL crews, Metallurgy section and Laboratory;
- Ensure all production downtime is reported correctly and assist with follow-up;
- Chair daily toolbox meetings, shift-change meetings and other meetings as required;
- Conduct "on the job" training as necessary and work with the ADR Training Coordinator to plan and execute annual training plan;
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping throughout the plant, especially carbon management.
RequiredQualifications
- Committed attitude to safety management and willingness to learn and apply the latest safety practices;
- Extensive experience in an operating mine at operator and supervisor level; experienced supervisors in other related industries such as Chemical, Oil and Gas, and Utilities will also be considered for the position.
- University degree in a mining-related or other technical field; candidates without a university degree but with appropriate skills and experience will also be considered for the position;
- At least 7 years of industrial experience in mining or in a related field, of which at least 2 in a supervisory role;
- Reasonable computer skills; previous experience of maintenance software would be useful;
- Fluency in Armenian and Russian languages; basic knowledge of English language is desirable;
- Valid driving license.
