Lydian Armenia is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced supervisors to perform the role of Crusher Shift Supervisor in the Process Plant. Preference will be given to local area candidates, especially those with Russia/ CIS experience. Crusher Shift Supervisor's area of responsibility extends from the Primary Crusher Dump pocket to the discharge of the overland conveyor in the Load-out area. Outside normal working hours, the Crusher Shift Supervisor, together with the ADR Shift Supervisor, are the senior Lydian employees in the Process Plant. The Crusher Shift Supervisor reports to the Crusher General Foreman (Operations). Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training about the design and operation of the crushing area of the Process Plant and will gain a working knowledge of other areas
Responsibilities
Preoperational and Ramp-up:
- Support the Crusher General Foreman in recruitment, training, setting up of tools and equipment and procedure preparation.
Operational:
- Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the crushing circuit and overland conveyor;
- Supervise the activities of the crusher operators, the control room technicians, the shift maintenance technicians and others as required;
- Operate plant according to parameters set by supervisors and the metallurgy section;
- Manage direct reports (operators): discipline, training, leave and absences, etc.;
- Communicate effectively and frequently with Mine Operations and the Load-Out Crew;
- Ensure all production downtime is reported correctly and assist with follow-up;
- Chair daily toolbox meetings, shift-change meetings, and other meetings as necessary;
- Conduct "on the job" training as necessary and work with the Operations Training Coordinator (Crusher) to plan and execute the annual training plan;
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping throughout the plant; prepare plant for all maintenance shutdowns.
RequiredQualifications
- Committed attitude to safety management and willingness to learn and apply the latest safety practices;
- Extensive experience in an operating mine at operator and supervisor level; experienced supervisors in other related fields such as cement, building and road construction, and earthworks will also be considered for the position;
- University degree in a mining-related or other technical field; candidates without a university degree but with appropriate skills and experience will also be considered;
- At least 7 years of experience in mining production or in a related field, of which at least 2 in a supervisory role;
- Reasonable computer skills; previous experience of maintenance software would be useful;
- Fluency in Armenian and Russian languages; basic knowledge of English language is desirable;
- Valid driving license.
